Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FridgeFlex, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FridgeFlex is a food inventory management app that helps users:

• Track food items and expiration dates
• Scan grocery receipts using device camera
• Manage household food inventory

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.
• Notify us immediately at fridgeflex@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Upload or transmit malicious code or content
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Impersonate any person or entity

5. Camera and Permissions

The App may request access to your device camera for receipt scanning. By granting this permission, you acknowledge:

• Camera access is used solely for app functionality
• Images are processed to extract grocery-related information
• You may revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings (receipt scanning will be disabled)

6. Subscriptions and Billing

FridgeFlex offers auto-renewing subscription plans that unlock premium features.

Subscription Plans

• Subscription pricing and available plans are displayed within the App prior to purchase.
• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected).

Free Trial

• If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends.
• To avoid being charged, you must cancel before the trial period expires.
• Only one free trial per Apple ID. When Android becomes available, Google account trial terms may also apply.

Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your payment method will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Renewal pricing is the same as the original subscription price unless otherwise notified.

Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. When Android becomes available, Google Play account settings will apply for Android subscriptions.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to premium features until that date.
• Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds

iOS purchases are processed through Apple App Store. When Android becomes available, Android purchases will be processed through Google Play. Refund requests are subject to the relevant store's refund policies. We do not issue refunds directly.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. You will be notified in advance of any price change and given the opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect.

7. End User License Agreement (EULA)

FridgeFlex grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Sublicense or sell access to the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent

For users on iOS: This EULA is between you and FridgeFlex only, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service, Apple's terms govern with respect to App Store usage.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Food expiration estimates or inventory data will be accurate
• Results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable

You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the App, including food safety decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FridgeFlex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:

• Food spoilage or foodborne illness
• Data loss or corruption
• Loss of revenue or profits

10. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services (e.g., AI receipt processing, error monitoring). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the App. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this document.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
